Line-up:
Charlie Smith;
My name might be common, but my style is alternative. I'm Charlie Smith a raw, honest, singer-songwriter from Hampshire, UK. I host and perform at my own shows at venues such as the Railway Inn, The Attic, and Crosfield Hall. In October 2023, I embarked on my first solo tour of northern England, performing in Leicester, Leeds, Liverpool, and Stockton. My most recent 'DIY Tour 24' was built around showcasing local musicians and took me along the south of England (Brighton, Portsmouth, London, and Southampton). My latest EP 'Here He Comes Now' was released on the 24th of May. Clocking in at just shy of 10 minutes it is an express 5 Track acoustic punk EP. The theme of the EP is the idea that certain things cannot be erased or forgotten. The lyrics evoke feelings of introspection, reflection, and renewal, as the individual grapples with their inner turmoil and seeks to find solace. All tracks were recorded on the Tascam Model 12 at my mini-home studio. Featuring a single mic technique with minimal use of effects to simulate an authentic, intimate sound.
Ash Carr
The electrifying frontman of Danger Line, a powerhouse rock band known for delivering high-energy performances that keep crowds on their feet. With gritty, soulful vocals and a commanding stage presence, Ash brings a raw intensity to every show. Whether belting out original anthems or putting his own spin on tailored covers, he knows how to captivate an audience and make every song his own.
Joey Vella
Toeing the line between chaos and beauty. Joey Vella, a Southampton-born and raised singer-songwriter, blends his love of Indie and Punk to deliver hard-hitting personal lyrics about his struggles with growing up, substance abuse and falling in love. After years of writing and singing in his room, inspired by the likes of Pete Doherty, Kurt Cobain and Matty Healy, Joey Vella is ready to make a name for himself in the music scene.
Simon Maggs;
Indie - Folkie - (sometimes protest-y) tales. With lyrics influenced by likes of Billy Bragg, The Smiths, Frank Turner and I Am Kloot, Simon’s songwriting draws on the folk tradition of relatable real-life stories and contemporary social themes, occasionally with a kitchen sink drama edge, together with reflections on his northern upbringing.
LouLu V;
LouLu V is an emerging singer-songwriter crafting her debut album, blending raw emotion with a unique sound. Starting her musical journey on the piano as a child, she later found her voice through the ukulele, particularly the baritone, which has become the foundation of much of her songwriting. Her music defies easy categorisation, flowing between folk, pop, punk rock, and indie, with a range of instruments that give each track its own distinct vibe. LouLu V’s songs are as diverse as they are authentic—inviting listeners into a soundscape that’s fresh, honest, and undeniably her own.
