To make the most of your PIG BEER minikeg, keep it stored cold and upright until you're ready to tap it. A fridge is best but an unheated garage, cellar, or a similar cool area is ideal or even outside in colder months, just don't let it freeze! Once tapped, aim to finish your minikeg within three days to enjoy the beer at its freshest.
 
To pour, fully pull out the tap located at the base of the minikeg, ensuring smooth flow and no drips. Open the top vent slowly to release pressure and regulate flow – this small opening is key for a steady pour without excessive foam. Then get your favourite glass and twist the end of the tap to pour. When finished pouring, it’s best to close the vent to maintain carbonation and flavor between pours.
 
Our minikegs are designed for single use and aren’t refillable. However, they’re fully recyclable through your household recycling across the UK.
 
Handling leaks? Often, it’s a matter of ensuring the tap is pulled out completely. This allows for proper sealing and reduces the chance of drips. As with any beer container, keep your minikeg out of direct sunlight to prevent heat exposure, which can impact both taste and carbonation.
